Thomas Erlund has started his work as SeaHow s Senior Vice President on 8 January.
Erlund has worked at the Finnish Transport Agency since 2010. He was in charge of the Vessel Traffic Service unit as well as the maritime services development and international cooperation of marine activities. This position has provided Erlund with wide-ranging experience in waterways, harbours and vessel traffic management as well as allowed him to develop seamless cooperation with waterway users.
Thomas has an education as a Master Mariner to which he has gained a Masters of Science degree in maritime management from Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg.
As his first assignments, Erlund will acquaint himself with the customers and collaborative partners. “My desire is to actively keep in touch with our customers and partners in collaboration, to receive feedback and to develop SeaHow’s operations and Meritaito´s concepts through the feedback.”
Seppo Virtanen, who precedes Erlund as SeaHow’s Business Manager, will move on to develop SeaHow’s spar buoy factory and to increase the company’s spar buoy sales as well as to expand our retail network.

Meritaito Ltd and Lamor Corporation Ab have concluded an agreement whereby Lamor will acquire Meritaito’s oil spill response equipment operations marketed under the brand name SeaHow.

Pori Energia and Meritaito have entered into a comprehensive service agreement according to which Meritaito shall produce the remediation services in Kokemäenjoki river oil spill.
