Meritaito Ltd and Lamor Corporation Ab have concluded an agreement whereby Lamor will acquire Meritaito’s oil spill response equipment operations marketed under the brand name SeaHow.
Thomas Erlund has started his work as SeaHow’s Senior Vice President on 8 January.

The Finnish Transport Agency will test position-indicating spar buoys on Pyhäranta small craft track. The aim of this new type of spar buoy is to improve maritime safety and reduce the need for position inspections.The spar buoys will be integrated in Meritaito’s system, SeaDatics
The Swedish Maritime Administration has contracted Meritaito for a survey project in the Baltic Sea. ODIN’s survey vessel Pohjanmeri will be mobilised for the project shortly.
Meritaito Ltd installed 33 smart beacons on the fairway maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency and the Port of Rauma. The new beacons increase the safety of the fairway and save money.

Otto Vuorinen will start in his new position as the Manager of Meritaito Oy’s shipowners’ services on 18 September. Vuorinen has solid experience in shipowners’ services administration from his previous assignments
Seahow will fabricate 2+2 units of PV800-10 tension moored ice buoys and VPU800-10 ice buoys to be installed in the Sea of Bothnia. These buoys represent the strongest type of ice buoys that can be used in very harsh environment.
SeaHow and our partner for the Americas, Go Deep International Inc. (Go Deep) have been awarded another contract for the delivery of seventy ice buoys in Canada.
